Back from Indo! & Back to work!

Location : Karimun Island/Tg Balai
Duration : 3D2N
Itinery : Eat & Explore

Tg Balai was solid man.
It's laid-back, slow, a food haven but shopping suc..
Been to my honey's home!!! First time!!!!
Super long house but only her dad's stay in there now.

It's actually a shophouse, but he converted it into a home and extended the back all the way out into a river which connects the sea. He owns several vintage looking wooden fishin ships. WHich berth at the back of his house.... Balai version of Sentosa Cove. :P

The length of the house is really long, can't give an est measurement man.

Den we stayed over at her grandma's place which is adjacent to her 3rd Aunts place whose husband owns a Car Repair business. And the garage is jus outside their home.

Had many many meals and food. can't name them all man!!!! SEDAP!

Her cousin (Ah Cute) drove us ard for the whole 3 days, we went to eat, shop @ the 4 so call shopping centre, visit the natural waterfall, Pasar Malam and their wet market.

On the first nite, we had BBQ and its the first time tat i had BBQ wif only 3 items.. OTAK, CHICKEN WING AND SATAY!!! ahahhaa, but its nice la. Many of her aunts came wif kids, which is damn blardy noisy!

Den came xmas present exchange time!, Honey got the choco tat I bought, and i got the choco tat her sis' bf bought. :O

Den at nite, we played daidee and blackjack wif her cousins. slept very well.... til someone came and do some sawin at the wooden fence i think, tat was in the middle of the nite and the dogs were barkin.

Oh ya, den upon arrival at the Ferry Terminal, we are suppose to wait for her cousin come pick us up, but he was late.

So we took their "bus" to her place.... Its the size of a mini van. Zhng wif spoilers bigger den teh van, brightly sprayed color wif fierce fierce stickers and turbo sound but no turbo. For sound fierce only. :D

Basically the life there can use 1 word describe.... RELAC.

A smallest change in our reality changes everything....

It's amazing that how a small change can make a big difference....
Example...
By migrating or changing of citizenship may take a lot of process and time....
But when it's all done over with....
You look back and see... It's jus a small identification card tat you have now... which is that big difference.
Its' tat small thing tat have a huge meaning in it, a long history and story behind it.
It's like a mind map.... with the IC at the centre and many other branches ard it depicting events, feelings, ppl affected, ppl ard you, the process... etc etc...

The Weekend.... and Christmas.

Man Utd won but Arsenal lost....
Which means Chelsea is a whopping 9pts above Man Utd.. Damn.

I went shopping over the weekend wif my honey... damn tiring man...
So many ppl everywhere... thronging the streets as if there were free gifts.
Saw a few Nike T Shirts, damn nice.... tried the new Engineered Jeans, damn comfy man.
AH I need a sponser!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes it's gonna be Christmas soon! And I am Broke!!!! YES!!!!

I really hope to spend CHristmass in Japan next year..... It's so damn nice
The people there really know how to get into the Festive mood.
:D

Finally, I will be visiting my Honey's hometown in Tg Balai over CHristmas.
Will eat as much as I can!!!!!!!

HONEY GOT HER PR INVITATION LETTER!!!!

YES!!!!
Finally ICA sent the letter for her to apply for PR status immediately after she graduates!

She got the letter much earlier den expected.
Usually students would graduate den work for a few mths b4 the company recommend her to apply or ICA will send a letter to apply.

Finally, our heart can settle and mind be at ease.... Now comes the wedding day!!!!!!

What a DAY!

Office is superbly quiet, due to a retreat which ends tomo.
And I'm not involved as I'm from diff dept. Draw so fine line man.. hahaha

Anyway, today nothin much lor... Cleaning aunty came to vacuum, den the vacuum I think spoil liao ah, so damn noisy... she also tried to fix it but buay sai. So bo pian have to loon the sound while vacuumin. hahha

Den got one lorry-crane driver came to collect some coffee tables from us.
He was tellin me he worked for the same company for 20yrs.
Driving from mini pickups to the current 4 axle lorry crane (this is really heavy duty use one. normally is 2/3 axles).

Den now I can't wait to go home play Guild Wars!!! I wan to lvl up to 11!!!!
This game the map really damn blardy big man. Jus to get from town to town may take 30mins of play. But its fun la. :D

Life ain't fair.

I've got a clerk in my branch. He's got some problem with his physique which required him to go through several operations since his birth to correct it.

Latest news I heard was tat he will be goin for 1 more next Thurs to remove a growth in his leg.
And when he explained to me the post-op pain. Its terrible man....

He's such a good worker and is very efficient but life is cruel to him.
But he seems to be used to it and accepted reality which is good as he believe life still goes on!

He will be on MC til next March. Take care bro!!!!!!

Self Survival (Part 2)

Den along came a new boss.... appeared out of no where...
And we had lunch together on his first day here.

Appeared to be nice. Seems friendly. Hope is good!
Once, on my way to the counsellor, he saw me...
Told him about my condition....
And the thing about him was tat he was very neutral about the whole story
as he's new and we jus met a few days only... which shows tat he's fair and bothered/cared
about wat's goin on. And the feeling he gave me was tat dun worry, I'm here to help u.
WHich assured me of better life ahead.

So far there are 2 significant tasks since his arrival.
First was to get storage space for the returning exercise stores.
- I approached him for some help and he really did help alot with his connections and rank.
In the end the problem was solved!
Secondly was to do up some research on a few technologies.
- This was something I never did for quite some time now. And during the presentation, it brings me back to poly days where the evaluators are there to ealuate and sincerely help you as well, instead of putting up a guard and prepare to fail you whenever possible.

So far its been good for me at work apart from some other unhappiness which I try to put away......

Self Survival...

SInce I was posted into my unit, I was left to fight for my own survival without any protection from my superiors with the exception of 1 particular officer.
He would try his best to fight for my rights and welfare. Ensuring that I do not get taken advantaged of by my own superior or outsiders.

But there's a limit to what he can do, the rest is up to me.
And honestly speakin there's nothin much I can do at all.

No one seeks to clarify anything wif me, and always jump to conclusion tat I did a bad job.
No one ask whether am I busy before shooting me wif a task tat they deem of higher priority.
No one wans to accept a wrongs and negatives, leaving it for me to handle.
No one treats me the way its suppose to be like.

How is it fair to me????

I was told before tat our branch is small, and we need each other help.

Den I approach who for help?

Scenario:
In a midst of discussion before proceedin to shift tables out of the lab.
One guy approached me wif 2 poster stands and say pass this to A now, he needs it.
And he walks off....
I went and came back carried on shifting the tables.
And him???? in his cubicle...I wonder wats he doing....

Scenario:
"Hello Marcus ah, get my hp charger from my table upstairs and pass me now... urgent."

NS really is getting ridiculous man....
Do Guard/BOS/DOO/DSO duty is considered Regimental Duty -> Acceptable la hor...
Help to lock up your branch's office/building is considered Administrative Duty -> Well no harm mah, jus lock up, everybody uses the premises.
Help to prepare & pour a cup of MILO every morning before the biggest f**k arrives in office is considered what duty?

Blardy hell, anyhow ask you to do something and say its your duty also can ah?
Wah lao, den liddat got justification in doin anything? NO! or Dun even need... Why? Coz its your duty.... Serve a Nation is a Duty.... everything can jus call it Duty, we all NSF Lan Lan leh.

Liddat, you are not boss lor, you are Master and we all slave....

Eyes watching you....

It seriously feels damn irritating to have someone breathing down your neck everytime man....
Watching your every movement, treating you like a small kid and putting you down....

I mean come on, I am a human lor... Please treat me like one.
Do I have to be questioned for any thing I do which you do not see eye to eye?
If its the rank that you are looking at, den I am sad to say you are a failure in your own profession...

Why don't you go around chasing the others of higher rank den me?
Just because I am the lowest rank and I deserve this?

My Ritz biscuits and the mysterious sweet wrappers

I bought some ritz cheese biscuits recently.... haven really ate much....
But its getting lesser.... you noe why?
Coz my boss has been stealin it openly!!!!!

Wedding Updates.

Hi to all that are interested.

Here's an update on my wedding preparations so far.

1. Bridal Studio - French Studio & Bridal located @ Tanjong Pagar along the stretch of Bridal Boutiques.

   What we need to do now is to choose 3 MTM gowns and choose 5 gowns for photoshoot. And also to set a date and locations for photoshoot. We intend to do all our outdoor photoshoot @ Fullerton Hotel.

2. Wedding Venue - The Fullerton Hotel on the 29th Oct 2006

   As for now, we have to prepare the Guest List, Buffet Menu and the events that will take place in the Hotel. Fullerton truly is beautiful!!!!
   

The Actual Day Photography, Bridal Car and Honeymoon are still not planned and finalised yet.

Back from BATAM.

Yes, I'm back from Batam!!!!
Damn tiring man!!!!

OK, here's wat I ate over there since Friday morning...

3. Ate @ DO & ME(A fastfood chain), had Chicken Burger (Brunch)
4. Ate @ BFC(A fastfood chain), had Mee Goreng (Lunch)
5. Ate @ BFC, had Ice Cream waffles (Lunch Dessert)
6. Honey's aunt cooked for dinner
7. Ate @ A&W, had Curly Fries (Supper)
8. Ate @ DC Mall's foodcourt, had Pempek Pempek - Indonesia fishcakes (Supper)
9. Da Pao Murthabak (Supper)
10. Ate @ coffeeshop, had Mee Rebus (Breakfast)
11. Ate @ coffeeshop, had Gado Gado (Breakfast)
12. Ate @ A&W, had Fish Burger meal & Ice Cream Waffles (Lunch)
13. Ate @ Ferry Terminal, had Nasi Padang (Tea Break)

When last minute shopping at MegaMall, a new one next to the ferry terminal @ Batam Center.
Bought 2 Nike Dri-fit for $27 each, 1 pair of converse for less den $25.
Honey also bought the shoes, so 2 for the cost of 1 in SGD. Power!
Den bought some T-Shirts for my cousins, mum paid for them one.
Apart from those, I bought some tidbits for office makan one lor.

Total I exchanged SGD50 and signed, SGD160!!!!
the 50 bucks was all on food and treats lor. worth it man!
Not to mention the killer ferry ticket went up to 30bucks!!!! sian.....

Fullerton Hotel, here we come!

Finally, finalized the contract with my parents and the coordinator.
Honey and I like the place, my parents like it as well (i believe so), and the package is reasonable as well... What you pay for is what you get.

One more impt factor was that we are very comfy with the coordinator...
I believe this plays a very significant role as you will be facing the coordinator til your Actual Day.

Fly Invasion!!!!

Shit, flies are invading my office...
And they are not normal flies, they are huge and big ones, the size of a One Dollar coin.
Killed 2 yesterday and saw 4 today...
Damn irritating when they keep hovering over ur head with tat buzzing sound...

My Bestest Friend @ work

If you readers are wondering why I keep mentioning about this guy call Glenn aka Frog....
If you readers are wondering are we gay or watsoever sexually or emotionally attached...
You ppl are wrong....
Glenn and I goes back a long way.................

It all began with a breakfast.... YES, a breakfast.....
The usual BREAKFAST LEGACY..... Which I destroyed...
We would have breakfast together, enjoying the food and moment....
Discussing about work and any other things under the moon....

Den we merged cubicles @ our work place... and Glenn joined Felix(another bestest fren) and I.
Previosuly, Glenn was a wanderer, floating from places to places within the office wif his trusty old toshiba tablet pc. He do not have a place to call "WORKPLACE"...
So when we merged, I reached out my hand to Glenn saying... "COME JOIN US, WE ARE YOUR FAMILY"...
Glenn saw a light... he felt the warmth that was elusive for so long... SO he joined...

We gave him a desk, power point, swivel chair, 2 cabinet drawers and a paper shelf... on top of that, we threw in a CHristy CHung poster as an addition perk.

so everyday den on, Glenn has been part of our life at work.
He's the right guy for a listenin ear, though half the time he's stoning... but at least there's someone there!
Felix always pour out his troubles to Glenn, and he enjoys listenin too...
Me, I like to disturb ppl ,so Glenn is my only target board...

Apart from these 2 fellas, I have only 1 closest fren, Derek.. Will talk about him some other time la.. lazy liao.

Humans are so funny.....

I was just wondering how humans react to stuffs and believe tat it happened but in actual fact it did not happen. Jus an example....

There were 3 flies flyin ard in the lab, superbly huge and gross ones....
I killed 1 , the cleaner lady caught and squashed it. the last one flew away.

Now, here's more detail on how I killed it.
I simply use my "wu di" newspaper dated yesterday, to smack it when it's pissing on the floor.
"SMACK" its dead.

Ok, later on, I told Glenn about wat happened, he was amazed about the killings.
Until I twist the story, I told him the fly landed on his nicely folded shirt and I smacked it there.
And there was abit of remains on the shirt, so I just wipe it off wif tissue.
Immediately after he heard it, he was hysterical, shouting and screaming... he almost cried... but nvm... he forgotten about it soon after.

So when it's time for hi mt ichange, I point to him the spot where the fly landed and died.
He look at it intently and flick of "something" on his shirt where I pointed....
Now how humourous.... hmmmmmm... humans.....

Something out of Nothing....

To create something out of nothing is a miracle....
It means that person must have possesed some ability to do so....
So how do you create something out of nothing?
Very simple....
Actually everybody have that ability to do so, its nothing special....
Just a matter of whether you wan to do or not.
Just like me....
I just created something out of nothing... by writing this post.
Previously there wasn't this post but now there is.

Just Glenn, he created the world's first Frogman!!!!

And Felix too, making no issue into an issue!!!!
